A dystopian response to the decrease in empathy and emotional literacy, Patch-Up is a fully customisable and mobile patch that imitates the emotions of a partner in real-time. In turn, partners can reflect on actions and feel prompted to start a conversation, ultimately boosting their romantic connection. 
Its packaging mimics that of condom brands to allude to the intimacy that surrounds relationships while poking fun at romance with the tagline ‘it’s time to get it on’. While this tool is far from being produced, it’s a speculative piece that warns the audience of a possible future.
